Ready, Set, Go 2022
We are excited to kick off the new year and share all that we have been working on here at CTB.
Starting with Jimmy Kimmel Live! As always, we are loving his stellar lineup each night with talented guests like Halle Berry, Peter Dinklage, Denzel Washington, Jason Bateman, Lady Gaga, and more. Some fun moments have been with the Spider-Man cast including Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Jacob Batalon; and let’s not forget Daniel Ranieri from Tender Bar with a special surprise from George Clooney and Julia Roberts.
As we look towards the coming months, we will also be booking JKL guest hosts for another summer of fun, plus the NBA primetime shows.
Speaking of sports… The Rich Eisen Show continues to provide our daily dose and entertain us with his recent guests including Neve Campbell, Sebastian Maniscalco, Jim Gaffigan, and Jack Quaid – we loved seeing each of them back in studio!
And then there is The Pat McAfee Show which breaks down the latest in sports, most recently with the enjoyable Charles Barkley, Bill Burr, John Cena, and Al Michaels. Our team has now started to gear up for Super Bowl LVI and we are excited that both Rich Eisen and Pat McAfee will be airing their shows live from Los Angeles in support of the big game.
Another outlet that has kept us entertained and busy during this covid craze has been podcasts. As we think WTF how is the pandemic still going on, we also thank WTF with Marc Maron for keeping it real all throughout. He is back to doing in-person interviews and we have loved seeing him with Kenneth Branagh, Jennifer Hudson, Guillermo del Toro, and Javier Bardem, among so many great episodes.
Spotify’s The Ringer is also another fan favorite – from Bill Simmons with Tom Hanks, Michael Keaton, and Ben Affleck, to Larry Wilmore with W. Kamau Bell, Bob Costas, and David Copperfield, plus Bakari Sellers with Carl Bernstein, Cedric the Entertainer, and Tamron Hall. Their shows continue to receive ringing endorsements across the board!
We have taken our skills across the pond and are working on a number of Spotify UK podcasts: Jaackmaate’s Happy Hour recently had the hilarious Russell Howard as a guest, The Way We Are with Munroe Bergdorf just had an inspiring talk with Isis King, and Where Is My Mind? had Kirsten Powers enlighten us on how to stay centered. Check out these UK shows, as well as Who We Be Talks, Brydon &, The Two Johnnies – all of which have exciting guests lined up for the weeks ahead.
In the world of Spotify, we also enjoy Call Her Daddy with Alex Cooper where nothing is off the table in her recent interviews with Jamie Lynn Spears, Colton Underwood, and Esther Perel.
Crooked Media keeps us straight during these times with guests like Adam Scott, Larry Wilmore, Phoebe Robinson on Lovett Or Leave It, Ariana DeBose, Claire Foy, Sutton Foster on Keep It, and Samantha Bee, Stephen Colbert on Offline.
Wondery’s Life Is Short with Justin Long is never long enough with guests ranging from Stanley Tucci, Ryan Phillippe, Alan Cumming, Alyssa Milano, Steve Zahn, and Zachary Levi.
We love Samantha Bee’s podcast, Full Release, as she sits down for in-depth conversations with Kal Penn, Marc Maron, Fred Armisen, David Sedaris, Ana Gasteyer – always a good laugh. Many more awesome ones to come this year!
A few more podcasts that we are thrilled to be working with include Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness on his weekly explorations to feed his curiosity, Nasdaq’s World Reimagined where the host talks to an array of leaders in this changing world, and Meditative Story which shares impactful personal stories and was created by the former execs who launched TED Talks.
We have loved kicking off the year working on the sixth season of the hit series, The Eric Andre Show, as well as the fan favorite game show, The Cube, which is executive produced and hosted by Dwyane Wade, and TruTV’s Impractical Jokers with celebrity guests now joining in on the fun.
As we look back at 2021, we wanted to share a few highlights. Starting with Red Table Talk and Jada Pinkett Smith’s candid talk with Sandra Bullock about motherhood and her personal journey, plus the show celebrated its 100th episode by having a special Matrix reunion with Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Ann Moss, and Priyanka Chopra. CTB is eagerly awaiting RTT’s upcoming fifth season.
It is always a pleasure to collaborate with the Sharecare Awards, which recognizes excellence in health and wellness programs – more important now than ever. Among the presenters were Ann Dowd, Carrie Ann Inaba, Lea Michele, Gail Simmons, Courtney B. Vance, and Yvette Nicole Brown. CTB is happy to be working with Sharecare again this year.
We were also honored to have worked on a couple of Veterans Day events. There was the Salute to Service special on A+E Networks with participants including Michael Strahan and Bob Woodruff. Additionally, American Valor: A Salute To Our Heroes, is a broadcasted event organized by the American Veterans Center and was hosted by Rob Riggle. The stories of our great heroes were narrated by Tom Cruise, Jessica Chastain, Jamie Lee Curtis, Giancarlo Esposito, Mark Hamill, Robin Roberts, Liev Schreiber, and Tim Allen. And now CTB is looking forward to the AVC’s annual Memorial Day Parade, which hopefully is back in person this year on Constitution Ave in Washington, DC.
Lastly, we had fun wrapping up 2021 with ABC News on their primetime special: The Year. No one better to highlight the most memorable moments than Hannah Waddingham, Simu Liu, Abby Wambach, Michael Phelps, among others. And what a year it was!
